Practical information

ARRIVAL - general

Room keys hang in the hall cupboard (Pink, Beige, Green, Black (front door)
Outdoor furniture (located in the living room): Cushions for the outdoor sofa, two small white tables for the outdoor sofa area, Armchair and two chairs with wooden table. Rechargeable lanterns. Various cushions

ARRIVAL - rooms

Duvets, pillows and bed linen are in storage bags in the wardrobe, on top.
Towels are also stored in a storage bag in the wardrobe, on top.
Bed linen and towels are in sets and please only use “sets” as we do not necessarily gets washed before the next team visits.
Bed linen set consists of: 1 double sheet, 2 duvet covers, 2 pillowcases.
Towels: 2 bath towels and 2 smaller ones

ARRIVAL - kitchen

Opening the gas to the cooker: Turn to the left. It takes some time for the gas to flow.
Lighter is in the drawer by the knives.

DEPARTURE - general

Please place keys in the locker in the hall (2 keys per room and 3 front door keys)

DEPARTURE - rooms

Switch off the aircon
Empty the toilet bucket
Bed linen and towels are placed in laundry baskets in the laundry room
Duvets and pillows are placed in storage bags and put in wardrobes, top
Put on the bedspread
Close windows and doors

DEPARTURE - kitchen

Turn off the gas
Empty the fridge of non-perishable food
Coffee filters are thrown away
Empty the nespresso machine of capsules and clean it
Empty teapot and clean
Remove the rubbish bin and the empty water bottles

IMPORTANT - READ THIS

Front door just needs to be pulled to close completely
In the wardrobe in your room is the charger for the portable lamp and remote control for the aircon
Kitchen cabinet, left door above the coffee machine: The door has a loose pump so you have to hold the door when opening
Wifi code: Please find it at the bottom of the router in the entry hall
Laundry room: Please put the laundry bag in the door of the washing machine after use so it does not close
Cleaning: If you need cleaning supplies, you can find them in the lockers in the hall
Dishcloths, tea towels etc. are in the kitchen base cabinet to the right of the sink
Dining table: Please use the oilcloth or tablecloth (there is one in the kitchen cabinet to the right of sink) as we have not yet treated the tabletop.
Guestbook: We would greatly appreciate if you would write in our guestbook (bordeaux and located in the kitchen windowsill)
Alcohol: If you need alcohol at home in the riad, buy it at the airport as The local supermarket (or the medina in ) does not sell alcohol. It is only available in Carrefour, restaurants and cafés. In the medina there are many restaurants that also does not serve alcohol. In Guliez, everyone does.
Each room has a stool that can be used on the balcony if you want to sit in the sun there (in winter there is no sun in the yard).
Plants: We would be grateful if you would water the plants (1-2 times per week). Bucket is in the cupboard in the hall. 2 x 1 bucket for the trees. 1/2 bucket in the plants in ceramic pots. (Remember the two by the the front door)
Good manners: Please make sure to stock up for the next arrival (1 roll of toilet paper, 1 paper towel, 1 litre of spring water, coffee capsules as when you arrived, filter coffee for coffee machine or instant coffee

DAILY SHOPPING

Delicious bread: The local bakery that bakes for the neighbourhood hotels is located next to the small kiosk right at the V-junction. (See map). Here you just go down the stairs and show with your fingers how many breads you want and pay (1 dirham per bread).
The kiosk (see map) is open until late at night and has almost everything (tonic for the gin :-), the good cream cheese, biscuits, milk, soft drinks, etc.
In the kiosk at the end of the road – just before entering the main road in Sidi Mimoun – they sell toilet paper and paper towels etc.
Supermarket BIM: Located in the Kasbah about 5-600 metres from the Riad (See map) and it has the most necessary grocery products.
Alcohol: Not available in shops or in the BIM supermarket. You can get alcohol in Carrefour stores (search on Google map)
Waste: To the left of the city gate, on the main road, there are large rubbish containers and you just throw all your rubbish there – there is no sorting 🙁
Breakfast: The local cafe (owned by our friend Fadel) serves breakfast. (See map):
Breakfast (see map): In the Kasbah About 5-600 metres from us, there is a lovely cafe Zeitoun. And many other places, but these two are closest.
Currency: Dirham and Euro in the Souk.
ATM (see map): There are plenty of ATMs on the large square and roads by the square. At us in Sidi Mimoun turn right towards Kasbah.
Credit cards: Can be used at restaurants and supermarkets in the Medina. And in Guilez
